Christmas at St. Francis

St. Bernard volunteers recently delivered the items collected in the warm clothing drive and some of the gifts placed under the Giving Trees to St. Francis of Assisi, our sister parish in Milwaukee.
“The services that St. Bernard’s makes possible are so vital,” said Fr. Mike Bertram, the pastor at St. Francis. “Without that support that ministry (the St. Francis Conference of St. Vincent de Paul) would be strapped.”
Fr. Mike also emphasized the importance of the cultural sharing between the two parishes. “It’s nice to have that personal collaboration and association with each other. We have so many different people, and when they mix with those in Middleton … it is just a nice exchange.”
