Our four new parish council members are Derek Fuerbringer, Margaret Bomber, Jackie Reynolds and Carole Savage.
Fuerbringer took a position as a radiology manger at UW Health-University Hospital and moved to Middleton in 2007 from the Twin Cities. In Minnesota, he was active in his parish finance council and the choir. He is currently active in the St. Bernard choir.
Bomber retired from a banking career in 2014 and joined St. Bernard parish, because she wanted to be a part of the Middleton Christian community. She said she was welcomed here with “grace and warmth.”
Savage moved to Madison in 1989 and has served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Bernard. For 36 years, she has worked as a physical therapist, which she views as her ministry. She currently works part-time as a physical therapist at Waunakee Manor Healthcare Center.
Reynolds has been a member of the parish for all but five years of her life. She worked for the state for 42 years and is now retired and cares for her husband and other family members, who have Huntington’s Disease. At St. Bernard, she has been a lector, Eucharistic minister, religious education teacher and provided meals for funerals and Luke House.
