Samantha Worden of St. Bernard’s parish will be awarded the Mary Jeanne Kennedy Anderson Scholarship at the Diocese of Madison Catholic Charities annual Faith in Action Celebration on Nov. 10 at the Madison Marriott West, John Q. Hammons Drive in Middleton.
In her essay, “How do you personally put your faith in action,” Worden credited her attendance at the Love Begins Here missions during the summer for “a deepened connection with the Lord and the people around me.”
Worden, who is a senior at Middleton High School, plans to attend St. Francis University in Pennsylvania to major in medicine. She hopes to pursue a career as a physician’s assistant or in physical therapy.
She is the daughter of Brian and Karen Worden of Middleton.
