June 17, 2023 - June 18, 2023In honor of Father’s Day, the weekend, June 17-18, the Human Needs Commission will collect disposable diapers for Babies and Beyond.
The organization is currently in need of the larger size 6 diapers, but all diaper sizes are welcome!
Moms are also encouraged to donate partial bags or boxes of diapers that their children have outgrown.
Here are a few facts from Babies and Beyond:
·Babies require up to 12 diapers a day and toddlers require about 8 diapers a day;
·44% of young children live in low-income families;
·1 in 3 families experience diaper need and rely on diaper banks to fill that gap;
·Households experiencing diaper need are an average of 50 diapers short a month; and
·diapers cost $70-$90 per month per baby.
Please use the collection bins located at all entrances to the church and the pack and play near the Mother’s Room in the new gathering space.
