Each year, families in Dane County turn to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) for bedding and blankets to keep their children warm, to sleep comfortably and to furnish their homes.
In January of each year, community members donate gently used blankets and bedding during the annual Recycle the Warmth Blanket Drive.
The blankets collected during Recycle the Warmth are distributed to people in need all year long.
How to help from Jan. 27-29: Blankets are available at any St. Vinny’s Thrift Store for $15.99 plus tax. You can also donate gently used blankets or bedding at any SVdP thrift store or here at St. Bernard, where we will have barrels at the church entrances on those dates.
Finally, you can donate online at svdpmadison.org/event/rtw/.
