The Human Needs Commission and Creation Care have partnered for our annual school supply drive. Each year, we collect new school supplies for our sister parish in Milwaukee, St. Francis of Assisi. This year, we will also collect gently used school supplies for our religious education program in an attempt to recycle items no longer needed at home. The school supply list includes: backpacks, colored pencils, crayons, dry erase markers, #2 pencils, large pink erasers, eight-ounce school glue, glue sticks, blue, red, and black pens, plastic pencil boxes or pouches, pocket folders, 12-inch rulers and wide and college ruled spiral notebooks. Collection barrels will be located at the University Avenue and Parmenter Street entrances after all masses the weekends of July 30-31 and Aug. 6-7. We also need volunteers to deliver the school supplies to St. Francis. If you can help, please contact Georgine Jacobs 608-698-14555 or email georgine.jacobs@gmail.com.
