The Adult Confirmation process is a fun, interactive opportunity for Adult Catholics, who have not had the opportunity to receive the sacrament of Confirmation, to complete their full initiation into the Catholic Church. This five-week process emphasizes the basics of Catholic teaching respecting the adult audience’s many concerns, questions and responsibilities. Some of the topics include the Trinity, sacraments, prayer and morality. Sessions are weekly on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 p.m., in the parish office conference room. The sessions will begin May 3 and continue for five weeks. The actual Confirmation ceremony will take place on Pentecost Sunday, June 5 conferred by Bishop Donald J. Hying at a parish in Madison yet to be determined. To express your interest in Adult Confirmation, please contact Kevin Laufenberg at kevin@stbmidd.org. Requirements for Adult Confirmation preparation: • A Roman Catholic adult, who has received Baptism and First Eucharist; • A copy of your Baptismal Certificate if you were not baptized here at St. Bernard; and • One must select a sponsor to accompany them in the preparation process.
