A Box of Joy is a Christmas shoebox that is donated and packed with toys, clothing, school supplies and other treasured items by U.S. parishes, schools and groups for children in Haiti, Guatemala and other developing countries. Each child who receives a Box of Joy also receives a rosary and a booklet in their own language that tells the story of Jesus. For each shoebox packed, please donate $9 to provide aid to the ministry partners in the child’s community and cover overseas shipping. You can drop off your shoebox and check at St. Bernard after all Masses and St. Peter after the 9:30 a.m., Mass on Sunday, Oct. 29.
