May 24, 2023In honor of Father’s Day, the Human Needs Commission will collect disposable diapers for Babies and Beyond on June 17-18.
The organization is currently in need of the larger size 6 diapers, but all diaper sizes are welcome!
Moms are also encouraged to donate partial bags or boxes of diapers that their children have outgrown.
Here are a few facts from Babies and Beyond:
· Babies require up to 12 diapers a day and toddlers require about 8 diapers a day;
· 44 percent of young children live in low-income families;
·1 in 3 families experience diaper need and rely on diaper banks to fill that gap;
· Households experiencing diaper need are an average of 50 diapers short a month; and
· Diapers cost $70-$90 per month per baby.
Please use the collection bins located at all entrances to the church and the pack and play near the Mother’s Room in the new gathering space. Thanks for supporting local moms!
