No Greater Love: A Biblical Walk through Christ’s Passion Parishioner Georgine Jacobs will lead us through Dr. Edward Sri’s series on the final hours of Jesus’ life. The videos and discussion will unpack the Biblical descriptions of key moments of the Passion. The group will meet on Wednesdays during Lent just before the Stations of the Cross, from 6-7 p.m. in the parish library. The dates are: March 1 through April 5. We will not meet on March 29, which is the bishop’s mission night here at St. Bernard, and we will meet at 4:30 p.m., on March 8 to accommodate Family of Faith night. Email Georgine at Georgine.jacobs@gmail.com for more. Lectio Divina with Fr. Brian Fr. Brian will again lead a series of prayer on the upcoming Sunday gospels each Friday morning of Lent. Meet in the parish library from 9-10 a.m., from Feb. 24 to March 31 to unpack the rich Lenten gospel readings. Email Laura Angle at laura@stbmidd.org for more.
Lenten book study for parents This Lent, Geno and Lindsay Finn will lead a parent book study on “Living Beyond Sunday: Making Your Home a Holy Place.” It is open to all parents from those who just had a baby baptized to those with kids in high school. We will provide one copy of the book to families, who registered for Family of Faith or just went through baptism prep. Others can purchase the paperback book or eBook at Ascension Press. We will meet on Mondays this Lent from 7-8 p.m. The Moms will meet Feb. 27 and March 13, and the Dads will meet March 6 and 20. This will hopefully allow for each parent to attend while the other is at home watching the kids. The third time together we will meet during the Easter season to discuss the book and to get to know each other. For more information, contact Geno Finn at geno@stbmidd.org.
