Fr. Scott Jablonski grew up in Appleton. He was the oldest of three kids. After graduating from high school, he moved to Madison to attend the University of Wisconsin, where he obtained a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. Following his time in Madison, he spent two years in Colorado, where he came back to the Catholic Church that he was baptized in as a child (after previously spending time in college and immediately following college as an Evangelical Protestant). While in Colorado, and in response to an invitation from the Lord Jesus to follow Him more fully, Fr. Scott applied to seminary for the Diocese of Madison so that he could wholeheartedly discern a calling to the priesthood. After being accepted as a seminarian for the diocese, he spent his first two years attending St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., where he studied philosophy. Afterwards, he spent three years studying in Rome where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas while residing at the Pontifical North American College. He then finished his last year of seminary in Detroit at Sacred Heart Major Seminary before being ordained a priest in June of 2014. Since his ordination, Fr. Scott has served as a parochial vicar at St. Bernard and St. Henry in Watertown, as pastor of Blessed Trinity in Lodi and Dane, and most recently as pastor of Saint Francis Xavier in Cross Plains. Fr. Scott is also the director of Continuing Formation of Priests for the diocese and served as chair of the “Into the Deep” Strategic Planning Committee. In his free time, Fr. Scott enjoys watching the Brewers, Badgers, Packers and Bucks, playing sports, reading, traveling, and cooking. He is very excited to get to know the members of St. Bernard's and the other parishes of Pastorate 19. And, he asks that you please pray for him!
