David Jeter was received into the Catholic Church and celebrated his Confirmation and First Eucharist at a Mass on Jan. 1. His wife, Beth Steiner, was his sponsor. Please welcome him and pray for him as he continues to grow in his relationship with the Lord.
Congratulations to Donald and Veronica Harrop, pictured above, who will celebrate their 78th wedding anniversary on Feb. 11.
They were recognized as the couple married the longest in the Diocese of Madison by the Worldwide Marriage Encounter two years ago.
The Harrops, who will both celebrate their 100th birthday this year, had six children, 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
If you want to know their secret to a long life or a long marriage, you will have to ask them yourself!
May God continue to bless them in their life together.
On March 5, our RCIA candidates and catechumens – Glenn Hipwell, Kevin Robertson, Jane Simon, Charlie Cotton, and Amanda Ong – will gather at St. John the Baptist Church in Waunakee with Bishop Robert Morlino and other RCIA participants from the Madison diocese for the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion.
This celebration is a powerful sign of the Spirit inviting new members to the church.
Pictures of our participants will soon be on the parish center hallway bulletin board.
Get to know them, help them feel welcome, and pray for them as they continue their journey of faith.
